This was installed as a replacement for the 5 Port POE Toughswitch.
The 8 port PRO is an entirly different bit of kit. Its metal construction makes it feel mjuch more substantial, and the standard kettle lead is a bonus. One of the reason for replacing the 5 port was that we have a couple of Unifi AP PROs connected to it, and being able to provide both 24v POE to the Nano and 48v POE to the AP PROs saves a lot of extra injectors and cables. It also means that we can configure the ping watchdog on the AP PROs so if one of then were to go off-line it gets power cycled (also with version 1.3 there is a Power Cycle option so you dont need to disable POE and re-enable it to power cycle the POE device).
